Hi, I’m Faiza!

I’m a BBA student at the Schulich School of Business, York University, specializing in Business Analytics, Finance and Marketing with a keen interest in media and entertainment.

I have always been drawn to the stories and questions in seemingly ordinary things that turn out to be surprisingly interesting. Sometimes the answers lie in culture, psychology, business, data, and sometimes, it’s a little bit of everything. Since moving across the world on my own, I learned how much a change in perspective can reshape the way we see and approach life.

Why Not Random, Actually.?

Because sometimes the most unexpected thoughts can reveal something meaningful.

I created this space to explore those curiosities through research, data-informed analysis, and storytelling. Here, you’ll find everything from cultural observations and business insights to personal experiences and occasional detours. Some pieces are analytical and financial while others more reflective or playful, but each begins with something that caught my attention.

My hope is that you leave with a different way of seeing something familiar that keeps you thinking, and makes you come back for more.

A little about my background

Beyond the classroom, I’ve published newspaper articles and gained work experience in research, editorial writing, project support, administration, operations, human resources and teaching. These experiences have shaped how I approach challenges by asking thoughtful questions, considering different perspectives, examining evidence, and communicating effectively.

Looking ahead, I’m open to various opportunities across different industries, particularly roles involving analytics, marketing, public relations, and audience insights, with a particular interest in media and entertainment.

Now that you are here, let’s connect!

Whether you’re here for the business insights, the cultural observations, or simply a good question, I’m thrilled you found your way here.
